This may be round two of the URC season, but it is the first game for the hosts. All South African sides had the first week off.
Last season, the Lions produced their best season since joining the tournament, finishing ninth and missing out on the playoffs on head-to-head. This time around the South African side will hope to go one better.
The Lions do have some form though after reaching the Currie Cup final. They lost the final to the Sharks last weekend, but have plenty of momentum, particularly at home.

Ulster Form
Ulster ended last season in sixth place on the URC table, quite low by their recent records. However, this time around they will certainly be looking to bounce back.
In round one last weekend, Ulster were largely outplayed on home soil against the defending champions, Glasgow. However, Ulster held firm, defending well throughout before striking late on to snatch a 20-19 victory.
