The all-conquering Leinster face off against Munster in a mouth-watering Irish derby for the second semi-final. Leinster will be the undoubted favourites at home but Munster will prove to be a tough opponent with the added intensity of being a local derby.

The Irish side topped the table at the end of the round robin phase with sixteen wins from their eighteen matches and are unbeaten at home.

They won 39-36 at the Lions before losing 62-7 loss at the Bulls. A 41-22 home win over Toulouse then followed.

Leinster beat the Sharks 35-5 at home in their last match. Leinster rested some key players and battered a Sharks side that were also depleted of their stars. It was one way traffic for Leinster after conceding early on as they put on a dominant display.

Team news is set to be announced later but we can expect a few changes as their star players will be welcomed back such as Jamison Gibson-Park.

Munster Form and News

The South Ireland side have had a good season so far and finished in fifth position with ten wins under their belt. They have a decent away record with four wins from nine matches.

A 50-35 loss at the Sharks in the Champions Cup was followed up with a 26-24 win at the Stormers. They would go on to draw 22-22 at the Sharks in the next fixture.

Munster won 14-5 at Glasgow Warriors in their last match. A tough match was expected between two good sides and the tight score line proved this true. Glasgow conceded a 25th minute red card which helped Munster immensely as their defence kept the Scots at bay to record a famous win.

The side has not been announced yet but we can expect the same squad to be available with the exception of scrum-half Conor Murray who was injured in the last match.
