Leinster vs Dragons Predictions - Comfortable home win tipped for Leinster

Dragons have lost their last five matches against Leinster.

Leinster are the favourites to win the United Rugby Championship this season, as they have been at the start of almost every season over the last few years. However, they have fallen at the knockout stages in the last three years.

Last year, after resting players towards the end of the campaign to keep them fresh for their charge towards the Champions Cup trophy, Leinster lost crucial games which meant they ended up finishing third on the table. They eventually lost to the Bulls in the semi-final and suffered defeat in the final of the Champions Cup to Toulouse.

This year, Leinster will once again be looking forward to a big year and hopefully end their trophy drought. Last weekend they kicked off the URC campaign with a narrow 33-31 win over Edinburgh away from home.

Expect changes this weekend after very few international stars started last weekend.

The Dragons have struggled for years and been considered the weakest of the Welsh outfits. Last season, the Dragons were pretty much as good as anyone expected, only achieving two wins all season.

At home, the Newport outfit can be a tough side to face, especially on those cold and windy nights. But they generally struggle on the road.

The Dragons got off to a winning start last weekend as they came from behind to score a try after the clock went red to beat Ospreys 23-21 at home. That derby win will give the Dragons some confidence, but I doubt that will be good enough this weekend.

The Dragons performed well last weekend but I do expect changes this early in the season. It was a physical affair against Ospreys, so I do see some changes taking place.
