Cardiff vs Glasgow Predictions

Glasgow are understandably favourites to win this URC fixture in Wales, but Cardiff have made a good start to the tournament. These two met in Glasgow earlier this year, a match the hosts one by four points.

Cardiff had a poor season last time out, much like the other Welsh unions. However, they have gotten their 2024/25 campaign off to a rollicking start.

In round one, the Blues won 22-17 at home against Zebre. While not one of the strongest sides, Zebre were quite competitive last season.

Last weekend, Cardiff were very impressive in their 24-15 victory at Scarlets. It is always a huge result to win a derby but to do it on the road will give Cardiff plenty of confidence.

This is another opportunity for the Blues to get a statement result. They are expected to make changes with some injury clouds within the squad.

Glasgow Form

Glasgow come into this season as defending champions and although not the bookmakers’ favourites, they are expected to do well again.

The Warriors began their title defence with a 20-19 defeat at Ulster. It was a game Glasgow should have won and looked on course to take the points, but they lost discipline late on which allowed the Irish outfit to pounce.

In round two, Glasgow got back to winning ways in front of their home support, thrashing Benetton 42-10. It was a dominant display by the champions and one that will signal danger to the other sides in the tournament.
