  • Saracens beat Exeter by 18 points at home last season.
  • Exeter have lost 7 of their previous 8 away fixtures.

Head to Head

Saracens have the advantage with 20 victories to 12 against the Exeter Chiefs, including one draw in 33 meetings.

Saracens Form

Saracens produced an excellent second-half performance against the Sale Sharks to cruise to a 45-26 victory at home last weekend.

Saracens were trailing by 13 points to 12 against the Sale Sharks at the halftime break but would score four tries, two conversions, and three penalties during the remainder of the match against their opponents to win the game.

Before that victory, Saracens beat Gloucester 35-26 away from home.

Saracens have won both their opening fixtures of the new Premiership season and have defeated the Exeter Chiefs five consecutive times at their stadium, giving them the advantage to record another win over their opponents.

Saracens Team News & Injuries

Fly-half George Ford is out after suffering a torn thigh muscle.

Maro Itoje will miss the match against the Exeter Chiefs as he has a knee injury.

Exeter Chiefs Form

The Exeter Chiefs lost their second consecutive league fixture of the season, losing 30-24 against the Northampton Saints away from home last weekend.

Exeter began the second half trailing Northampton by six points but narrowed it to three after slotting home a penalty soon after the restart; however, their opponents scored two converted tries and a penalty to lead  30-10 after 59 minutes of play.

Exeter closed the gap after scoring two converted tries during the final 12 minutes of the match, but Northampton held on to their lead for the victory.

Before that result, the Exeter Chiefs lost 17-14 against the Leicester Tigers at home in their season opener.

Exeter have yet to record a victory this season and have lost seven of their last eight away games, which does not bode well for the Chiefs when they travel to face a Saracens side that regularly beats on their home turf.

Exeter Chiefs Team News & Injuries

Exeter Chiefs have signed Argentinian international lock Franco Molina for the season.

Stu Townsend has begun training again, whilst Niall Armstrong remains sidelined.

Verdict

Saracens have the edge over the Exeter Chiefs playing at home and are tipped to cover the -14.5 handicap.
