This is expected to be a very close contest between two sides in decent form. However, I fancy Northampton on home soil where they have been excellent recently. I’m backing the hosts to cover the -3 handicap.

Last season Northampton did the double on Harlequins. They won 36-29 at Quins and 46-17 at home.

Northampton are sixth on the Rugby Premiership table are six games having won three and lost three.

In the opening two rounds, Northampton lost at Sale and at home to Bristol before defeating Newcastle 16-14 away. It was followed by a very impressive performance at home to Bath, winning 24-18.

The Saints made it three wins on the bounce when they saw off Exeter 34-19 at home. Last week Northampton however suffered a 26-17 away defeat to Leicester.

Harlequins Form

Harlequins have been a bit hot and cold this season, but they have still won four of their six games.

Quins lost 29-28 in the first round at Gloucester but bounced back to beat Exeter the following week. A two-point victory at Bristol followed before a comfortable 40-12 victory at Newcastle.

A fortnight ago the Harlequins were very impressive, beating Leicester Tigers 29-25 away from home. However, last weekend the Quins never pitched up on home soil, losing 28-10 to Saracens.
