Bristol vs Gloucester Predictions - Bristol backed at home in Rugby Premiership clash

The last three games between these sides have gone Bristol's way. The Bears beat Gloucester twice last season.

Bristol would have been relatively pleased with their season last time out, finishing fifth on the table. Ultimately, they missed out on a playoff by just two points, which was rather disappointing.

This year, the Bears will be aiming for a top four finish at the very least, but they have some tough competition with so many competitive outfits.

Last week Bristol made a decent start to their campaign, winning 24-3 at Newcastle. While the win was convincingly, contest must be taken. Newcastle lost all their games last season.

The Bears will announce their side later this week but unless there are injuries, I expect a similar side from last weekend.

Gloucester are a proud rugby club and over the last few years they have performed admirably. However, last season was poor as they finished second from bottom with just five wins in 18 games.

With a points difference of -195, much worse than all other sides, besides Newcastle, it can be considered a horror campaign for Gloucester.

This season, Gloucester, despite making the Challenge Cup final, will hope for far better in the league. They started it poorly though, losing 35-26 at home to Saracens.

Gloucester will want a result from this game, even a bonus point defeat will be a decent result for them. They should field their strongest available side.
