Northampton are enjoying a fairly decent season, although they have plagued with some inconsistency. However, after three rounds of the Champions Cup, the Saints top Pool 3 with two wins.

The Saints comfortably beat Castres 38-8 in their opening Champions Cup game before upsetting the odds with a win in Pretoria against the Bulls. That was followed by a defeat in the Premiership against Saracens, but Northampton bounced back to beat Newcastle and table topping Bath.

Last week, the Saints traveled to Stade Francais for their third Champions Cup game. They lost the fixture 45-35.

After resting some key players last weekend, Northampton should be back to full strength for this clash against Munster.

Munster Form

Munster have the same record as Northampton with two wins in three Champions Cup games. They are second on the table, one point off their opponents and level with Saracens.

The Irish club thrashed Stade Francais at home in the Champions Cup opening fixture before going down 16-14 to Castres away. Munster returned to the URC with a 22-19 away win over Ulster before losing 28-7 to Leinster at home.

Last weekend, Munster were very impressive in beating Saracens 17-12 on home soil. The game could have gone either way, but it was Munster who held their composure best.

Munster have all but secured progression to the knockout rounds, however, they will want to finish as high up as possible. I foresee the Irish putting out a very strong side.
