Gloucester have enjoyed a fine season, especially in the Challenge Cup. Recently they have rested a few players in the Premiership to keep them fresh for this final which has caused a poor result or two.

After beating Benetton 46-24 at home in the Challenge Cup semi-final, Gloucester rested their entire team away at Northampton. They lost the game 90-0.

Last week Gloucester bounced back on home soil, beating Newcastle 54-14. That will hopefully give them some confidence in London this Friday.

The Sharks season could not have gone much worse, other than reaching their first European Cup final. They have only managed four wins in the URC all season.

Despite their horrid form, the Sharks have been good in 2024. They won six of their seven matches before losing their last two coming into the final.

Much of the defeats recently can however be put down to them resting key players for this final. They lost at home to Benetton by appoint and were thrashed 36-14 by Cardiff last weekend.
