Edinburgh scored three tries and one conversion in the first half against the Lions during their European Challenge Cup round of 16 tie last weekend, going into the break with a 17-0 lead.

Edinburgh added a converted try in the second half to secure a 24-12 win over the Lions.

Before that victory, Edinburgh had defeated Bayonne 52-12, the Glasgow Warriors 10-7, Black Lion 36-15, and lost 22-17 to Zebre before beating the Dragons 38-5 in their previous five home fixtures in all competitions. 

Edinburgh will start confidently that they can get the winning result against the Bulls, as they won eight of their last nine home games.

Edinburgh have signed Scottish international Dylan Richardson on a two-year deal from the Sharks. 

Duhan van der Merwe, Marshall Sykes, Mark Bennett, Jamie Hodgson, Matt Scott, Luke Crosbie, Tom Dodd, Lewis Wells, and Connor Boyle are out injured. 

Jamie Ritchie, Ali Price, Wes Goosen, and Ben Vellacott dotted down over the try line against the Lions last weekend.

Ross Thompson kicked over two conversions in the match.

Bulls Form 


The Bulls scored a penalty, two tries, and a conversion against Bayonne in their round of 16 EPCR Challenge Cup clash weekend, going into the halftime break with a 15-8 lead. 

The Bulls scored two converted tries and a penalty against Bayonne in the second half to seal a 32-22 away win. 

Before that result, the Bulls' previous five away results were a 27-5 loss to Saracens, a 20-17 loss to the Sharks, and a 49-10 loss to the Castres before beating the Lions 35-22 and the Stormers 33-32 in all competitions. 

The Bulls performed well in the previous round but have not been able to defeat Edinburgh in the two matches they have played in Scotland.

Reinhardt Ludwig, David Kriel, Marco van Staden, and Sergeal Petersen scored a try each against Bayonne last weekend.

Johan Goosen kicked over a conversion and a penalty.

Keagan Johannes slotted two conversions and a penalty in the match.

Verdict

Edinburgh have been in top form at home and are tipped to cover the -2.5 handicap in their EPCR Challenge Cup quarter-final clash with the Bulls.
