  • Castres have won 11 of their last 12 matches.
  • Castres have lost 2 of their last 3 matches.
  • Bulls have lost their last 3 matches.
  • Bulls have lost both of their Champions Cup matches this season.

Head to Head

Castres and the Bulls have never played in a competitive match before.

Castres Form

Castres have started the Champions Cup with a win and a defeat in their opening two matches. They are fourth on the table but will certainly be targeting this home fixture for a result.

On home soil, Castres have won 11 of their last 12 games, so this is a tough place for visiting sides to get results. Castres lost their opening Champions Cup game 38-8 at Northampton but bounced back at home, beating Munster 16-14 the following week.

Since then, Castres lost 13-3 at home to Bordeaux, their first home defeat of the season. They then suffered an away loss to Bayonne before beating Pau at home last weekend 24-19.

Castres Injuries & Team News

Castres will be at full strength for this home fixture. They have a few injury concerns, but final decisions will be made on those today.

Bulls Form

The Bulls have been inconsistent this season in the URC and although they are certainly playoff contenders, they will need to get some results in the Champions Cup.

Both games have ended in defeat in the Champions Cup thus far. First, the Bulls lost 27-5 at Saracens with a weakened side before going down 30-21 at home to Northampton Saints.

Jake White’s side have only played once since that defeat to Northampton. That fixture also ended in a 20-17 loss at the Sharks.

Bulls Injuries & Team News

Jake White never really travels with a full-strength side to away games, but the Bulls need a result here to give them a chance to qualify.

Verdict

I am backing Castres to win by more than seven points.
