Griffons vs Griquas Predictions & Tips - Woeful Griffons losing streak to continue

Last season the Griquas won this fixture 47-21.

The Griffons are rock bottom of the Currie Cup table having lost all six matches to date. They have a -211 points difference.

Most concerning for the Griffons will be their lack of competitiveness. Their only strong performance came in round four when they lost 47-45 to a very weakened Cheetahs side.

They have conceded 39+ points in all six games including over 50 on four occasions.

Griffons have rotated quite a bit this season and that should continue this weekend.

Griquas are second from bottom having won just once and lost five in their six games in 2024.

A comeback 34-31 win at home over the Sharks in round two has been the only cause for concern. They have not been their competitive selves this season, even on home soil.

That said, Griquas should have little trouble seeing off a Griffons side who quite frankly don’t belong at this level of competition.

Griquas may opt to rest a couple of key players but will be desperate to get the win. I don’t foresee wholesale changes.
