Vaal racecourse stage another strong card today. To help you try and find a few winners, here's which horses Magic Tips has tipped up on the HollywoodBets Blog this morning.

Race 1 - WILDEYE (5)

WILDEYE has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He raced from a handy position over 1600m at Turffontein last time and stayed on to finish third. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He meets the right field this afternoon and can shed his maiden tag.

Race 3 - BEFORE THE DAWN (1)

BEFORE THE DAWN finished 0.55 lengths behind SEEMYVISION last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has won four times, finished second twice and third twice from ten starts over this C&D. The 5yo mare shows good speed in her races and may be hard to peg back.

Race 4 - QUNETRA (6)

QUNETRA ran a good race when finishing second over 1600m on this course last time. He moved up like a winner that day, but was caught in the latter stages by Duke Of Sussex. 4kgs claiming apprentice Kaidan Brewer retains the ride and if repeating that effort, he can go one better in this field.

Race 5 - SELL HIGH (2)

SELL HIGH has shown signs of needing his last two starts after returning from a 37-week break. He has won three times, finished second twice and third twice from eight starts over this distance. The 6yo gelding will be cherry-ripe for this outing and on best form shown, he can return to winning ways.

Race 8 - ROSAPRIMA (2)

ROSAPRIMA set the pace in her last start over this distance at Turffontein, but was caught late by Clafoutis who has come out and finished second in a Grade 3 since. She won her only attempt on this course when shedding her maiden tag. She is likely to have her own way in front once again and may be hard to peg back.
