Team USA have the advantage with ten victories to seven over Team Europe in 17 editions of the Solheim Cup; however, Team Europe have won the last two editions of the tournament home and away.
Team Europe is predicted to use the local conditions in their favour to secure their third consecutive title.

A close scoring affair is on the cards once more at the Solheim Cup, as both teams have talented golfers, and the difference between winning and losing will come down to who will hold their nerve the best.
Scores between Team Europe and Team USA have been close over the last four editions of the Solheim Cup, with USA winning 14.5-13.5 in 2015, USA 16.5-11.5 in 2017, Europe 14.5-13.5 in 2019, and Europe 15-13 in 2021.
Both teams have powerful lineups, and tight match-ups are predicted, with Team Europe eventually gaining the upper hand to win 14.5-13.5.

Lilia Vu has risen to great heights in 2023, winning three tournaments, including two Major victories, and climbing to number one in the world rankings.
Vu claimed the title at the Honda LPGA Thailand before winning two Major trophies at the Chevron Championship and AIG Women’s Open.
Other noteworthy results by the American include placing T3 at the Saudi Ladies International and T7 at the LPGA Drive On Championship at Superstition Mountain.
Vu is making her debut appearance at the Solheim Cup.
Vu has been impressive this year and will be hard to stop if she hits her stride in Spain.
Format
The Solheim Cup takes place over three days, comprising 28 matches and 28 points at stake.
Each victory in a match is worth one point, and a tie is worth half a point.
Day 1: 4 Foursome matches in the morning and 4 Four-ball matches in the afternoon.
Day 2: 4 Foursome matches in the morning and 4 Four-ball matches in the afternoon.
Day 3: 12 Singles matches.
Verdict
Team Europe have the home-ground advantage and defeated Team USA in the last two editions of the Solheim Cup in 2019 and 2021, giving them the edge to retain the trophy.
