The LIV Golf Invitational Series and a host of the world's best players return to Asia for the second time this season with the Singapore title on the line. Who will come out on top at the Sentosa Golf Club this weekend?
Talor Gooch is back to defend his title after a playoff victory over Sergio Garcia in 2023.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.
Jon Rahm
Jon Rahm has achieved excellent results in the LIV Golf League this season, placing T3 in Mayakoba, T8 in Las Vegas, 5th in Jeddah, T8 in Hong Kong, and T4 in Miami before finishing T45 at the Masters; however, he bounced back to form with a T3 place in Adelaide last weekend.
The former world number-one-ranked golfer will debut at the LIV Golf tournament in Singapore this weekend.
Rahm has done nothing wrong all season except win on the LIV Golf Tour and has claims for the title at the Sentosa Golf Club.
Joaquin Niemann
Joaquin Niemann made three appearances on the DP World Tour at the start of his season, placing 5th at the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship, victory at the ISPS Handa Australian Open and T4 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.
Niemann returned to the LIV Golf Tour after those outstanding results and continued where he left off, winning in Mayakoba before finishing T30 in Las Vegas, 3rd at the International Series in Oman (Asian Tour, victory in Jeddah, T4 in Hong Kong, T9 in Miami, T22 at the Masters and T3 in Adelaide last weekend.
The Chilean golfer placed a solid T8 at the LIV Golf Singapore event in 2023.
Niemann has posted consistent top results this season and will have every chance of winning at the Sentosa Golf Club if he can keep replicating that form.
Louis Oosthuizen
Louis Oosthuizen started his season with a bang on the DP World Tour, securing victories at the Alfred Dunhill Championship and the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open.
Oosthuizen has continued to achieve excellent results on his return to the LIV Golf Tour, placing T8 in Mayakoba, 50th in Las Vegas, 2nd at the International Series in Oman (Asian Tour), T2 in Jeddah, T19 in Hong Kong, T7 in Miami, and 2nd in Adelaide last weekend.
The former Open champion finished T16 overall on debut at the 2023 LIV Golf Tour event in Singapore last year.
Oosthuizen will be challenging for the title in Singapore as he has had three runner-up places in his last five outings on a golf course.
Adrian Meronk
Adrian Meronk began his season in great shape on the DP World Tour, placing T40 at the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship, T8 at the ISPS Handa Australian Open, T10 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, and 2nd at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.
After those results, Meronk switched to the LIV Golf league, finishing 47th in Mayakoba, T9 in Las Vegas, T6 in Jeddah, T15 in Hong Kong, 17th in Miami, MC at the Masters, and T26 in Adelaide.
The four-time winner on the DP World Tour is making his debut at the LIV Golf Invitational Series in Singapore.
Meronk has achieved some solid performances during his first season on the LIV Golf Tour and is the long-shot value bet in Singapore this weekend.
Format
An invitational field of 54 golfers will feature at the tournament, with a total purse of $25 million up for grabs. $4 million will go to the winner, while the player coming in last will pocket $50,000.
The players will contest 54 holes instead of 72 for all the LIV Golf Invitational Series events.
A shotgun start will occur, where the players will tee off simultaneously from different holes.
A 13-four-man team (four players each and two wild-card players) format will run concurrent, with the top three teams earning prize money.
Verdict
Niemann has been the standout player in the LIV Golf League this season and can win another title this weekend.
Oosthuizen has been in tremendous touch and has the form to take home the winner's cheque in Singapore.
Meronk has been thereabouts and can feature prominently at the Sentosa Golf Club this weekend.
