The players head to Germany with the Porsche European Open up for grabs this week. Who will emerge the champion in the latest round of the DP World Tour?
Marcus Armitage is back to defend his title after victory last year.
The players with tee off on the North course for this event.
These are our four selections for the title this weekend.
Adrian Meronk
Adrian Meronk continued his impressive display for 2022 with another top five finish at the Dutch Open, when he was in contention to claim the title but finished one stroke back to place third overall.
The Pole started his year by finishing T4 at the Dubai Desert Classic, T57 at the Ras al Khaimah Championship, T6 at the Ras al Khaimah Classic, T61 at the Kenya Open, and T28 at the Pecanwood Classic.
Then the 29-year-old found another gear, placing T3 at the Qatar Masters, T3 at the Catalunya Championship and sixth at the Soudal Open.
He has played at the Porsche European Open once, finishing T45 last year.
Meronk has placed third three times in five tournament starts and has another chance to win his maiden DP World Tour title in Germany this weekend.
Jordan Smith
Jordan Smith's effort at the Dutch Open last week was decent, finishing T24 in the tournament.
The 29-year-old has been runner-up twice this year at the Ras al Khaimah Championship and the Pecanwood Classic.
He also had finishes of T12 at the Abu Dhabi Championship, T9 at the Dubai Desert Classic, T16 at the Steyn City Championship, T18 at the Catalunya Championship and T31 at the Betfred British Masters.
The Englishman will have fond memories of the Porsche European Open as he won his maiden DP World Tour title in the event back in 2017. He finished T64 the following year, MC in 2019 and placed T11 in 2021.
Smith has been threatening to put in a big performance again and will be bidding to win his second title as he has an excellent record at the Green Eagle golf course.
Pablo Larrazabal
Pablo Larrazabal has been a two-time winner of the DP World Tour in 2022, capturing the Pecanwood Classic and the ISPS Handa Championship.
Before that, the 38-year-old had decent results at the start of the year, finishing T25 at the Abu Dhabi Championship and T35 at the Dubai Desert Classic.
He then found his touch placing T6 at the Saudi International, T3 at the Ras al Khaimah Classic, T5 at the Qatar Masters and T13 at the Catalunya Championship.
His only two poor results have been missing the cut at the Steyn City Championship and the PGA Championship.
The Spaniard placed T7 at this tournament in 2019 but missed the cut last year.
Larrazabal has performed well throughout the season and will be on the hunt for this third title in seven starts. Can he do it?
Adri Arnaus
Adri Arnaus missed the cut at the Qatar Masters and the ISPS Handa Championship but landed his maiden DP World Tour title in his next start at the Catalunya Championship in May.
His subsequent two appearances after his win have been average, finishing T48 at the Betfred British Masters after being in contention heading into the final round, and T30 at the PGA Championship.
The 49th world-ranked golfer started his year by missing the cut at the Dubai Desert Classic. He then bounced back to form by finishing third at the Saudi International, T9 at the Ras al Khaimah Classic, T8 at the Magical Kenya Open and T2 at the Pecanwood Classic.
The Spaniard has played at this event once, missing the cut in 2019.
Arnaus offers excellent value in Germany and can be challenging for his second title come Sunday.
Verdict
Meronk has been ultra-consistent in recent weeks and can once again go close to his first victory on the DP World Tour.
Smith has won this tournament before and will be out to secure his second come Sunday.
Larrazabal has been a multiple tournament winner this year and offers excellent value at the European Open.
Arnaus has excellent form and is the long-shot value bet for the weekend.
