This is a repeat of the T20 World Cup final earlier this year and South Africa will be looking for some revenge. Neither side is at full strength but in home conditions, I fancy the hosts to take the first game.

South Africa were magnificent earlier this year in reaching the T20 World Cup final where they eventually lost to India. There will still be much regret about that game as South Africa dominated large parts and looked to be cruising to the title but collapsed late on.

Since then, things have not gone as well in the shortest format for the Proteas. They lost 3-0 to the West Indies and drew 1-1 against Ireland. Admittedly, many first-choice players did not feature in those fixtures.

Aiden Markram once again captains the side with some big players returning in David Miller, Marco Jansen and Heinrich Klaasen.

India Form

India arrive in South Africa for this series off the back of a 3-0 Test series defeat to New Zealand. That result sent shockwaves around the world, but none of those players are in the Indian T20 squad for this tour.

After beating South Africa in the World Cup final earlier this year, India have looked strong in this format, beating Sri Lanka 3-0 away from home. The last match was a tie but India won in the Super Over.

India then comfortably beat Bangladesh 3-0 at home to continue their superb form in this format.

India Injuries & Team News

India are not at full strength for this tour with many players preparing for a Test tour to Australia. Suryakumar Yadav captains the side while Hardik Pandya and Sanju Samson provide some more experience to a young group of players.
