Province have found some good form with the bat, and I fancy them to build on the confidence of an excellent win over the Lions. The Knights’ loss to the Dolpins in their last match will have knocked their confidence after their win over the Titans.

Province bounced back from back-to-back defeats to beat the Lions by four wickets.

The Lions struggled against some excellent bowling by Province that restricted them to 145/7 off their 20 overs. Mthiwekhaya Nabe (2/24) was the pick of the Province bowlers.

Edward Moore’s 87* off 62 balls was the backbone of the Province innings, with none of his team-mates reaching 20. Moore hit five fours and fives sixes as he powered Province to the win with four wickets in hand and three balls to spare.

Knights Form

The Knights went two defeats out of three when they lost to the Dolphins by six wickets.

Jacques Snyman (58 off 37 balls) was on fire again as he led the Knights’ run-scoring, but there was not enough support from the rest of the Knights batters to keep the run rate going, and they ended on a still respectable 155/9 off their 20 overs.

The Knights lost two early wickets before Jason Smith (65* off 44 balls) took control of the run chase, seeing his side home for a six-wicket win with nine balls in hand.

The Knights will need to bounce back quickly from their loss to the Dolphins and will possibly be looking to bring in a fresh batter or two.
