Namibia had a very impressive run at the 2022 T20 World Cup and will be looking to replicate that form in 2024. They started decently against Oman, winning the match in a Super Over on what was a tough wicket to bat.

Ruben Trumpelmann was the pick of the Namibian bowlers, taking 4-21 in four overs. They held Oman to 109 runs in 19.4 overs.

While Namibia struggled to really get going, they did manage to not lose too many wickets early on. The second wicket stand of 41 runs between Nikolaas David (24) and Jan Frylinck (45) put Namibia in the driving seat.

However, they lost a flurry of wickets thereafter and could only level the match on 109 runs. Fortunately, the Southern African nation came out on top in the Super Over.

I expect Namibia to go into this game unchanged. There may be a change among the bowlers but that will depend on pitch conditions.

Scotland Form

This is Scotland’s opening World Cup game so they will be looking for a positive start.

Coming into the tournament, the Scots had two warm-up games rain out and the other they lost by 55 runs to Afghanistan.

While their game against England was rained out, Scotland managed to bat for 10 overs, scoring 90 runs without losing a wicket.

George Munsey scored 41 runs while Michael Jones added 45.
