Bangladesh vs Netherlands Predictions

Bangladesh came within a whisper of winning both of their World Cup games and are looking like a tough opponent. Their bowling is especially powerful. Netherlands have claimed some big scalps in previous World Cups, but they haven’t shown that strength so far and Bangladesh look likely to take the win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

After winning their opener against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh fell just four runs short of a first-ever T20I win over South Africa.

Bangladesh bowled magnificently to reduce South Africa to 23/4 before ending their 20 overs on 113/6. The Bangladesh bowlers all put in a superb shift, with Tanzim Hasan Sakib (3/18, econ 4.50) returning the best figures with the ball for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh recovered from 50/4 to reach 94/4, but three quick wickets saw them lose a match that was within their grasp. Towhid Hridoy (37) and Mahmudullah (20) added a vital 44 for the fifth wicket before a tight umpire’s call broke the back of Bangladesh’s resistance.

Bangladesh are in good form and are unlikely to make any changes to their team. Their bowlers have performed better than the batters, and they will be looking for a strong performance with the bat.

Netherlands Form

After opening their World Cup campaign with a six-wicket win over Nepal, the Netherlands put up a strong fight against South Africa, before losing by four wickets with seven balls in hand.

Sybrand Engelbrecht (40) helped fight the Netherlands out of a slump at 48/6, but they could only scrape their way to 103/9 off their 20 overs.

South Africa recovered from 12/4 as the lower middle-order took them home with four wickets and seven balls to spare. Vivian Kingma (2/12, econ 3.00) was superb with the ball for the Netherlands.
