In a rain affected game, the Thunder managed 135 runs in 19 overs. The score certainly wasn’t a winning score, but given the conditions, the Thunder gave themselves a chance. Matthew Gikes, Sam Billings and Oliver Davies all scored 24+ runs to get the Thunder to that total.
The Stars would have certainly fancied their chances to chase that score, but Nathan McAndrew bowled magnificently, taking 5-16 to secure the victory for the Sydney side.
