Hampshire will be buoyed after winning their last match against Worcestershire by a massive 235 runs.

Hampshire extended their unbeaten run of County Championship games to nine with their win over Worcestershire which took them up to second place in Division One.

Hampshire posted an impressive 462 off just 111.5 overs, with Nick Gubbins (201*) and Liam Dawson (109) adding 220 runs for the fifth wicket to put their side in a powerful position after their first innings.

Mohammad Abbas (4/27) produced a magical spell of bowling to reduce Worcestershire to 30/4, but a partnership of 196 between Gareth Roderick (94) and Ethan Brookes (132) allowed them to avoid the follow-on. Liam Dawson (5/88) wrapped up the tail, with Worcestershire all out for 273.

Liam Dawson continued to shine, top-scoring with 51 in Hampshire’s second innings as they set Worcestershire 394 for the win. Kyle Abbott (5/36) ran through Worcestershire to dismiss them for 158 to secure a massive 235-run win.
