Sunrisers Eastern Cape SA20 2025 Squad Preview
- Skipper Aiden Markram’s highest SA20 score is 100 at a strike-rate of 172.41.
- Tristan Stubbs has scored 491 runs at a strike-rate of 152.95 in the SA20.
- Sunrisers Eastern Cape won the first two SA20 tournaments.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape big name signings
The Sunrisers didn’t just defend their title last season… they overwhelmed the opposition. They pipped Durban’s Super Giants to first place by a single point after the group stage, with both sides claiming one win in their two group matches against one another.
Sunrisers backed-up their dominance by beating the Super Giants in the Eliminator and then again in the final, losing just two matches all season as they defended their title win from the previous season.
Marco Jansen(10 wickets) and Ottniel Baartman (8 wickets) were the two top wicket-takers in the 2024 season, with Baartman taking the Bowler of the Season award and Jansen the Rising Star award.
Looking for a three-peat, the Sunrisers have drafted five talented stars for the new season in Devid Bedingham, Okuhle Cele, Zak Crawley, Craig Overton and Daniel Smith. Aiden Markram retains the skipper’s armband, but Proteas star batter Tristan Stubbs could well be one of the season’s top performers now that he has really found his feet on the international stage.
