In that defeat against the Super Giants, the Capitals bowled first on a very flat pitch. They conceded 209 runs in their 20 overs, a tough chase on any pitch.
However, Will Jacks (64) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (89) put on a superb 154-run opening stand in just 12 overs. From there it should have been a cruise to victory, but wickets continued to fall thereafter, and the Capitals fell two runs short.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape Form
The two-time defending SA20 champions have their work cut out for them this season after losing the opening two games. Pressure is already starting to build on the Sunrisers Eastern Cape as they look for a third successive title.
After being bowled out for 75 in their opener against MI Cape Town, the Sunrisers batted first against the Paarl Royals in Paarl. They scored 175 runs with Aiden Markram top scoring on 82 off 49 balls.
The Paarl Royals, however, made that score look very small as they chased it down to win by nine wickets with eight balls to spare.

Verdict
We are backing the Sunrisers to get their opening win of the season. Aiden Markram is tipped to top score while Rahmanullah Gurbaz has value in the same market for the Capitals.
