Will Jacks started off well with the bat, scoring 56 at just over a run a ball at the top of the order. However, of the seven other batsmen to bat, only Kyle Verreynne (30) managed to get more than 10 runs, and it came at a strike rate of 90.

The Super Kings bowled superbly in their last game against the in-form Sunrisers Eastern Cape which led to a nine-wicket win. The experienced Hardus Viljoen took 4-24 in four overs while Lutho Sipamla bowled magnificently to take 3-13 as the Sunrisers posted 119 runs.
Devon Conway led the way in the chase, scoring an unbeaten 76 off 56 balls. The Super Kings reached their target with six overs to spare.

Consistency has been lacking from the Kings side this season. They will want to get back-to-back wins for the first time since the opening two games of the season.
