Joe Root and Lhuan-dre-Pretorius started with a bang, both scoring 26 off 14 and 12 balls respectively. However, once they were both out with the score on 53 after five overs, it fell apart for the Royals.
The middle to lower order failed to fire with scores of 0, 1, 3, 2 and 0 for batsmen 4 to 8. In the end, the Royals could only reach 139 in 20 overs.

The Royals were poor with the bat against MI Cape Town on Monday. They will need vast improvement to overturn that result on home soil, but changes will be kept to a minimum.

MI Cape Town have a very good squad so I do expect them to rotate almost every game. Dewald Brevis will be looking for an opportunity to bat higher up while Kagiso Rabada is likely to be rested soon, it could well be for this game.
