It did not look like it would end this way when the Sunrisers started the season with three defeats. They have, however, since bounced back to show some superb form. They defeated the Paarl Royals in the final qualifier.

Chasing 175 in a knockout game is never an easy task but Tony de Zorzi led the way with 78 runs and Jordan Hermann scored an unbeaten 69 to lead the Sunrisers to an eight-wicket win with four balls to spare.
