Durban's Super Giants 2025 SA20 Squad Preview
- Skipper Keshav Maharaj has a strike-rate of a wicket every 20.5 balls in the SA20.
- Heinrich Klaasen has scored 810 runs in the SA20 at a strike-rate of 185.77.
- The Super Giants finished runners-up in 2024 after finishing second-last in 2023.
- The Betway SA20 takes place from 9 January to 8 February 2025.

Durban's Super Giants looking for another big season
After finishing second from bottom in the inaugural season in 2023, Durban’s Super Giants enjoyed a brilliant 2024, finishing one point behind the Eastern Cape Sunrisers. They lost the Eliminator to the Sunrisers as well as the final in a great turnaround from the first season.
Heinrich Klaasen was the second-most prolific batter in the 2024 season, scoring 447 runs. Klaasen has smashed one century and seven 50s in his 22 SA20 innings and won the Player of the Season award as well as the Batter of the Season award in 2024.
The Super Giants have done some incredible work in the draft, securing the talents of Kiwi batting great Kane Williamson, along with the West Indies duo of Brandon King (T20 strike-rate of 132.97) and the dynamic quick bowler Shamar Joseph. They can also can call on England’s swing bowler and big-hitting batter Chris Woakes.
Fans will be delighted to see Quinton de Kock in action again, although he averages just 24.20 in the SA20, although he comes into the tournament on the back of scoring 453 runs in the Caribbean Premier League in October.
Wiaan Mulder, Naveen-ul-Haq, Bryce Parsons, Dwaine Pretorius, Jason Smith, JJ Smuts and Marcus Stoinis are some of the other top talent that will be looking to haul in a maiden SA20 title for the Super Giants.
