SA20 Squad Preview - Durban's Super Giants

Durban’s Super Giants have made some exciting changes to their squad, including switching skippers from Quinton de Kock to Keshav Maharaj. The Proteas’ all-format batter Tony de Zorzi was the last of seven new signings, all of whom are new to the SA20.

The 26-year-old De Zorzi was a late call-up to replace Kyle Abbott, who suffered the frustration of missing out on the SA20 for a second year running through injury.

West Indies wildcard Nicholas Pooran could be the most influential of their new recruits, with other international stars including Sri Lanka’s Bhanuka Rajapaksa and the Afghanistan pair of Naveen-ul-Haq and Noor Ahmad. Local stars Jason Smith and Bryce Parsons are both exciting talents who will make great use of their local knowledge.

Last season the Super Giants’ big-hitting pair of Heinrich Klaasen (363 runs at 60.50) and Quinton de Kock (271 at 30.11) finished fourth and fifth in the SA20 runs list respectively.
