The Unicorns have had a super season, losing just once, but their top-order has started to stumble. The Super Kings have been strong all season, despite two losses, and their batting has been excellent. Their bowling has been solid without being spectacular, but they have supported the batters superbly, which is why I’m backing them for the win.

Texas Super Kings’ Devon Conway has scored 32*, 40 & 51* in his last 4 innings.
San Francisco Unicorns’ Hassan Khan has scored 44, 32* & 57 in his last 3 innings.

New York posted a decent score of 163/8 off their 20 overs, with Marcus Stoinis

The Super Kings powered their way to a nine-wicket win, with Devon Conway (51), Faf du Plessis (72 off 47 balls) and Aaron Hardie (40* off 22 balls) all batting superbly.

The Unicorns’ run of four wins on the bounce was broken when they lost to Washington Freedom in the Qualifier by seven wickets.

The Unicorns’ top-order failed to fire as they stumbled to 66/5 after the first 10 overs before Hassan Khan (57 off 36, with six sixes) rescued the innings, but their score of 145 never looked like it would be enough.

The Freedom raced to the win off 15.3 overs for the loss of just three wickets. Hassan Khan (2/32) was the best of the Unicorns bowlers.

The Unicorns need to beef up their top order as they haven’t been scoring as well as earlier in the season.
