Season preview
Things can’t get worse for the Knight Riders after their terrible performance in the first season of MLC, finishing last after winning just one match. It’s such a powerful squad you would expect them to finish in the top half of the table.
New players
Proteas hitman David Miller is a major boost for his power-hitting as well as his ability to finish a match. Alex Carey is exceptional behind the stumps and in front, and is a good man-motivator. Another key signing is Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, nearing the end of his career but with a great record. Ireland’s Josh Little is a handy left-arm quick, and Afghanistan’s Waqar Salamkheil will add valuable left-arm wrist spin. They have also signed Adithya Ganesh, Corne Dry, Derone Davis and Matthew Tromp.
