After beating high-riding Islamabad United by 13 runs in their last group match, Zalmi followed it up in their next match (Eliminator 1) by beating United again, this time by 12 runs.

Zalmi posted a healthy 183/8 off their 20 overs, Babar Azam (64) top-scoring again.

United started superbly before Aamer Jamal (2/36) and Salman Irshad (2/18) hit back. United struggled to 171/6 off their 20 overs.
