Hobart Hurricanes vs Melbourne Renegades Preview
The Hobart Hurricanes have lost just once this season (against the Renegades), but given the visitors form, it is tough to look past a home win here.

Head to Head
Three of the last five games have gone in the Hurricanes favour. The last game, earlier this season, saw the Renegades cruise to victory.
Hobart Hurricanes Form
The Hobart Hurricanes have shown their quality this season and will go top of the table if they win here. They are currently second, level on points with the Sixers but they do have a game in hand.
The Hurricanes are unbeaten in their last five games with four wins and one abandoned fixture. They defeated the Sydney Thunder in their last game, holding the Sydney outfit to 164 in 20 overs.
Tim David secured the win for the Hurricanes with another superb knock, scoring 68 off 38 balls to win with more than three overs to spare.
Hobart Hurricanes Injuries & Team News
The Hurricanes are in great form, but they will hope some other batsmen score some runs in this encounter. They are too reliant on one or two players.
Melbourne Renegades Form
The Melbourne Renegades showed so much promise at the start of the season but have fallen away drastically. They are bottom of the table with five defeats in eight games and will need a miracle to make the playoffs.
In their last outing against the Melbourne Stars, the Renegades bowled first, holding the Stars to 165 in 20 overs. It was a decent total given the pitch, though.
The chase started poorly and never really recovered. Once the Renegades found themselves at 4-44, it was all but over. Time Seifert top scored with 26 runs as the Renegades were all out for 123.
Melbourne Renegades Injuries & Team News
While very unlikely, the Renegades can still push for the playoffs if they win their final two games. However, their side just hasn’t performed, and they may opt to give some fringe players a run.
Verdict
I am backing the Hurricanes to win considering the form of the two sides. Tim David can continue his fine run in the best batsman market for the hosts.
