The bowlers had little to work with and the Sixers cruised to an eight wicket win off the first ball of the 17th over.

The Melbourne Stars have been atrocious this season with five defeats from five games. They are bottom of the BBL table, and it would take a minor miracle for them to turn it around.

It is true that the Stars have been unfortunate in some of their results to date, but they consistently lose the big moments in games. Last time out, they suffered an 18-run loss to the Sydney Thunder.

The Thunder scored 182 runs batting first, a decent bowling effort in which the Stars took eight wickets but failed to contain the run rate. In response, Ben Duckett continued his good form with 67 runs but only two other batsmen managed 20+ runs. Their total of 164 was well short of what was required.

Melbourne Stars Injuries & Team News

The Stars have a good side with star players such as Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis and Ben Duckett. However, other than the last mentioned, the other two have failed to inspire the side.
