The pitch was very good for batting, so while the score was very strong, it wasn’t insurmountable for the Heat. D’Arcy Short was the pick of the bowlers with a superb 4-15 in three overs as the Heat could only reach 195 in 20 overs.

Sydney Sixers Form
The Sydney Sixers dominated the first half of the BBL campaign before suffering a three-match streak without a win. That brought others into contention, but the Sixers hit back in their last outing, winning by 14 runs against the Perth Scorchers.
Batting first, Steven Smith showed his international quality with a superb 121 runs. Moises Henriques hit 46 off 28 balls in a total of 220.
The Scorchers threatened throughout the chase the score down but Sean Abbott’s 4-43 in four overs secured a 14-run win.
