In a tight contest, the Heat did manage to win their last game, beating the in-form Sydney Thunder by five wickets. The Thunder scored 173 runs batting first.

A slow start kept the game close but Max Bryant’s 72 off 35 balls steered the Heat to victory. Matt Renshaw also continued his fine form with an unbeaten 48 runs.
