Cassper Nyovest

Cassper Nyovest is a South African Hip Hop rapper with numerous business interests, too. His real name is Refiloe Phoolo. He was born and raised in the North West province, not too far from where this fight will take place in Sun City.

His hit singles include "Gusheshe" and "Doc Shebeleza". Nyovest has a love for boxing and as he explained on 31 March 2022, "I really love the sport. I feel like boxing in South Africa is dead. I feel like we have world champions in a country that people don't know about."

This isn't Nyovest's first forray into the ring. In 2021 he knocked out fellow entertainer Slik Talk, and will looking to continue his unbeaten run here.

NaakMusiQ

NaakMusiQ's real name is Anga Makubalo. He is a 34-year-old South African actor and musician. Best known for his roles in TV shows Generations, Z'bondiwe and Isidingo, he was also one of the Top 6 Sowetan's Sexiest.

Verdict

Cassper Nyovest is certainly the more popular of the two muso boxers but NaakMusiQ, by all accounts, can hold his own. It is however Nyovest who has some ring experience under his belt so we're backing him to go two-and-0.
